Henna, a natural dye, is said to strengthen, add sheen, & leave a red tint to hair after use.
After much deliberation and research I decided to give Henna a try.
On Saturday I purchased 100 grams of Karishma Herbal Henna, for $2.49, from a local Indian store here in Atlanta.
To mix the Henna I added hot tea, cinnamon, paprika, & honey. I placed the henna in the refrigerator and it sat overnight. Doing this allowed the dye in the Henna to release.
The next day, while wearing gloves, I applied the Henna to small sections of my hair. Afterwards I placed two shower caps on my head and allowed the Henna to sit for 5 hours.
To wash the Henna out of my hair I filled my bath tube with water and dunked my head in & out of the water several times. Then, I rinsed my hair, in the shower, using conditioner until the water ran clean. I followed my Henna treatment with a 20 minute deep condition under a hooded dryer.
I’m pleased with my first Henna experience. It did a great job adding a red tint to my hair.
I plan on experimenting more with Henna in 4 to 6 weeks. I will be sure to keep you posted!

I haven’t used that brand of henna before. You got nice results. I can see the difference between the two photos.
Thanks! I can’t wait to try it again!
Nice turn out! I think during my next treatment i will mix with tea instead of water
