It has been a while since I combed the racks of a thrift store. So when I felt the thrifting itch come upon me I absolutely had to scratch.
I headed to Second Chance Thrift Store, to do some “light” shopping. Before I could open the door of this fine thrifting establishment my eyes became stuck on a sign that read “blue & green ticketed items $0.99.”
Yes, as you can imagine, I had a conniption of excitement and rushed into the store!
While browsing I focused only on blue and green tags; which was difficult because I found some great pieces. After about an hour and a cart full later, I walked away with four items, a jean vest, 80’s polo style top, jeans, and denim shirt, all for $3.96, before taxex.
So, here’s my, unofficial & first ever, thrifting thought of the day: Shopping at a thrift store is naturally going to be cheap. But, when you find a sale amongst a sale, well, you have hit the shopping jackpot. Limiting yourself to only purchasing sale items, even in a second hand store, can broaden your shopping horizons, and keep your pockets heavy. Give it a try!
