If you have hair, natural or relaxed, then you know that split ends can lead to a WORLD of trouble. Not only do they make hairstyles look lackluster; but, they can be the cause of some serious knots and even a hair cut.
It’s no surprise, given my fair share of tangles, that I pounced on the opportunity to give TRESemmé’s new Split Remedy line a try. As soon as I received my box of shampoo, conditioner, conditioning spray & treatment, & serum I was ready to put these products to the test.
The line claims to be…
Formulated with a revolutionary Reconstructing Complex that repairs up to 80% of the splits you have in just three uses.
With continued use, the salon-quality formula continues to bind split ends for a smooth look that lasts and keeps working to help prevent new splits from occurring.
To begin my Split Remedy experience I cleansed and conditioned my hair with the shampoo and conditioner. I absolutely love the consistency of the shampoo. It actually resembles a conditioner with its pearl like look and feel.
My hair felt and smelled great after washing! It has a soft coconut-ish scent that I really enjoy. I actually have gotten comments like “your perfume smells great” or “what do you have in your hair; it smells so good” each time I use the line.
After cleansing I applied a moderate amount of the Leave-in Conditioning Treatment and then sectioned my hair to detangle. I used the Leave-in Conditioning Spray on each section and boy, did my comb glide through my curls. My detangling process became an ease and my tangles melted away.
I then styled my hair in a wash and go and used the Split End Sealing Serum to fluff my tresses once they were dry.
So, by now, I’m sure you are wondering, did the product help mend your split ends?” Here’s the deal, it did that and then some!
I rarely glance at my ends; due to me most likely not thinking to. But, I can tell when my ends are split (1) by the look of my hairstyles (they usually look thin & sparse at the ends) and (2) how tangled my hair is after washing.
After using the product 4 times I began to see a change in the look of my wash & go’s (I wore that style the entire time I tried out the products) and noticed that my detangling became easier and easier.
My first go round with the products was about two weeks ago. Since then I have washed and treated my hair with the line 6 times. Each time I received the same results. I can’t wait to see what long term results I receive. Below is a photo, taken this morning, of my hair after washing & conditioner with the products.
So, after being put to the test, TRESemmé Slipt Remedy has passed. The line has definitely helped my ends!
What do you do to rid your mane of split ends? Have you ever tried any of TRESemmé’s Split Remedy products? If so, what were your results?
