With a new year quickly approaching, and me (coughs) growing another year older, I’ve decided to put more effort into being fit and eating healthy. Beyond getting “in shape,” my quest to adopt a healthier lifestyle is deeply rooted in avoiding common family health issues like Hypertension and Diabetes. So, with all that being said, I was pumped when I received an invite from Lady Foot Locker to participate in a preview of their TRAINING C.A.M.P with Under Armour.
On Friday, October 19th, I headed to W Atlanta Buckhead to meet up with the Lady Foot Locker, Under Armour, and ex NFL player turned trainer Curtis Williams.
Before sweating it out at Training C.A.M.P myself, and a few other Atlanta bloggers, had the chance to learn more about Under Armour and their recent What’s Beautiful Competition. Amber, one of the finalist of the competition shared her inspiring story, workout journey, and even answered a few fitness and nutrition questions.
After suiting up in Under Armour gear, which included workout pants, sports bra, tank, socks and water proof tennis shoes, I thought I was ready for whatever Curtis had up his sleeves. I just knew, being that I had exercised earlier in the week, I was more than prepared. But, my fitness efforts, although strong, did not prepare me for 30 minutes with Curtis.
Within the first 5 minutes, ( I kid you not) I was drenched in sweat and gasping for air. But, with several breaks, I quasi successfully finished the workout. I left Training C.A.M.P feeling inspired and determined to achieve and maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.
