Adrienne A few of my gal pals & I stopped in Sephora this weekend for a quick scan of the latest & greatest in beauty. Well, our quick “stop” turned into 45+ minutes of fun, which included getting our faces airbrushed and bright orange lipstick.
Justin, an awesome Sephora employee, introduced the ladies and I to a new at home airbrushing system called Temptu. After explaining to us, in detail, how the system works, he then demonstrated the power of the airbrush on our faces.
March 2nd, 2011 Adrienne Ok, Spring isn’t quite here yet. But, if the last two posts weren’t a dead giveaway, I’m ridiculously ready for warmer weather.
In anticipation for sunny days to come I pulled out my makeup bag and created this “tickled pink” look.
I purchased Parisian Pink, the Cover Girl lipstick I’m wearing, at Ulta; it was $2.58. The blush, Catalina, is made by Cargo and was gifted to me by a relative. It retails for $28.
March 1st, 2011 Adrienne The rigid cold weather in Atlanta has seemingly passed and I’ve started to think that it may be time for me to pack away my winter nail polish. But, before I pull out my bright reds, oranges & blues for Spring I had to wear OPI’s Divia of Geneva.
I got my first glimpse of this warm purple hue on Farrah, Mahogany Bella of Mahogany Knots. I instantly feel in love with the color. It looked great on her hands and purple is my favorite color.
February 16th, 2011 Adrienne After having naked nails for a few days I began to long for color.
Unable to fight the urge, I headed straight for my polish collection and pulled out Wicked by Essie, and a white French manicure polish.
To begin I applied a base coat to my nails. Then, I brushed two coats of Wicked, on each nail. When polishing my middle finger I covered half of the nail with Wicked and the other half with the white French manicure polish. I added 3 dots to the white side to jazz it up a little. To finish, I applied a topcoat for added shine & to help prevent chipping
February 9th, 2011 Adrienne Since the infamous “Day of Love” is quickly approaching I have started searching for the perfect look to spark my sweetheart’s fancy. I haven’t quite found “the outfit;” but, I’ve definitely discovered the make up look!
While perusing a few blogs, to spark some ideas, I came across Tamara’s glamorous “Valentine’s Day Look” I must say, Tamara is absolutely beautiful! The bold yet subtle eye and red lipstick looks awesome on her. Oh, and her natural hair is pretty fab!

January 24th, 2011 Adrienne I have been on the prowl for ways to spice up my nail polish. Although, as I’ve said before, I find neatly polished nails to be chic, I still had an itch for something different.
After watching a few YouTube Videos I thought, “instead of using one polish. Why not use two?” So, I picked up some complimentary colors, pink & grey, and got to work.
January 23rd, 2011 Adrienne While attending an energetic beauty party a successful member of the make-up industry made this statement: “Women, ages 25 and up, should not wear clear lip gloss.” She went on to say that once women reach a “mature” age it’s imperative that they drop the clear gloss & pick up some color.
Being on the receiving end of this interesting comment sparked this weeks “Question of the Week.”
January 16th, 2011 Adrienne Lets explore the wonderful world of lashes!
Everyone has them but some want more. They want longer, thicker, fuller…mink? Yes, people wear mink lashes.
With such a high demand for length & optimum femininity there is now an overwhelming surplus of artificial lashes.
January 14th, 2011 Adrienne I love the look of polished nails. But, for some reason, I can’t make it past day two without chipping. Because of this I normally don’t wear nail polish.
Despite the threat of chipping and due to the boredom, which steamed from being snowed in for three days, I decided to give polishing my nails a try.
I stumbled upon a greenish glittery color, known as OPI’s Simply Smash-ing, in a gift bag I received at Sheen Magazine’s launch party.
January 13th, 2011 Adrienne It seems as if everywhere I look, from beauty blogs to Walmart, I see an insanely stylish lady rocking chic colored lipstick. Because of this, I’ve found myself thinking “I want sexy red lips too!” So, of course, I had to take action.
