Brunch With UGG: Another Fashion Week Flashback!

UGG hit the nail on the head by hosting a special blogger brunch the day following Fashion’s Night Out.

After cocktails and fun with Rockport at Dylan’s Candy Bar I was in much need of food.

This ingenious event took place at UGG’s New York office. I know what you’re thinking, “office brunch…not so much.” Well, UGG just happens to handle their business in a beautiful space equipped with an outside terrace overlooking 5th Avenue. Flashback!: Fashion’s Night Out with Rockport & Dylan’s Candy Bar

So Fashion’s Night Out was two weeks ago; but, who doesn’t love a good flashback?

To celebrate the opening of New York Fashion Week, and kick off FNO, I mixed and mingled with Rockport at Dylan’s Candy Bar.

Rockport added its own twist to Fashion’s Night Out by combining what they consider to be “three of women’s guiltiest pleasures – shopping, shoes and sweets.”

Fashion Week Snapshots : BCBG Max Azria, Nautica Mens, & More!

Although New York Fashion Week has officially ended I still have plenty to share!

As not to give you a case of “fashion overload,” I thought I would do a quick snapshots of some of the shows and events I attended. Here goes…

My first fashion show of the week was BCBG Max Azria. It was full of flowing geometric printed dresses worn by super thin and Ordinarily tall models. Next up was a reception for Fatigues to Fabulous. New York Adventures Day 1: Lucky FABB

Yesterday I kicked off my first day back in New York by attending Lucky FABB!

Lucky FABB is fashion and beauty blog conference hosted by Lucky Magazine. This September, as with the last, FABB was held on the eve of New York Fashion Week.

The daylong event was full of information, networking, killer style, and enormous swag!

Along with the wealth of knowledge, and awesome products, given to attendees, we were also able to meet, greet and chat with some of the most influential people in fashion and popular culture. Read more...

New York Fashion Week: Bright-eyed & Bushy Tailed!

New York Fashion Week is back and I am excited to announce that I will be in the mix!

Adrienne Takes Los Angeles

This past weekend I had the wonderful opportunity to visit sunny California.

I attended Blogging While Brown, an extremely informative & fun blogging conference, met some great people, and toured the beautiful city of L.A.

For me, on this Friday, as we speak, I am on a flight headed to Los Angeles to attend Blogging While Brown, an annual conference for minority bloggers.

This is my first time traveling to L.A and attending this information packed event. Needless to say, I am extremely excited!

Memorial Day: Fun In the Sun & the Festival Flea Market Mall

To celebrate Memorial Day one of my bestie’s and I visited sunny Ft. Lauderdale Florida. Our plan was to rest, absorb a little sunlight and, of course, do a little shopping.

To get a Florida dose of Vitamin D, we visited the beautiful Pompano Beach. I dared the hot sand, without shoe (bad idea), and we splashed in the seaweed filled water. It was great fun and even greater scenery. Read more...

Karen’s Body Beautiful: An Emporium of Delicious Smells

While in New York, because of your majority vote, I visited Karen’s Body Beautiful. Set on beautiful Myrtle Avenue in Brooklyn, this hair and body care boutique has a modern yet welcoming atmosphere.

Upon entering the store, with great surprise to me, I was greeted by Karen, the creator of Karen’s Body Beautiful. I was able to watch her hand-make several products; in the kitchen that is promenately placed in the boutique. She was even gracious enough to allow me to take photos of her process. Read more...

Adrienne Takes New York: Day 1 & 2 Photos

In the past 48 hours I have wandered aimlessly around New York City and literally enjoyed every minute of it.

Thursday I had lunch on the steps of an office building in Manhattan and briefly watched the St. Patrick’s Day Parade on 5th Avenue. I attended a fundraising banquet and also partied it up at a random & extremely crowded nightclub.

Friday afternoon I flagged down an ice cream truck in Brooklyn, got a $7 manicure, visited Karen’s Body Beautiful & ate some amazing Spanish cuisine. Read more...
