Last week, thanks to blogger & fab mommy Trina of The Baby Shopaholic, I was able to indulge in three of my most favorite things, style, cocktails, and learning how to look good!

Neiman Marcus and Trina played host to some of Atlanta’s chicly dressed and camera ready bloggers. In-store stylist Dave Ferguson shared Spring and Summer fashion trends while he displayed a few of the upscale departments store’s most desirable pieces. By desirable I mean, Chanel, Louboutin and Prada, just to name a few.

I Want One!: Fruit Inspired Rings

While prowling StyleBlazer.com, one of the fashion & beauty sites I frequent, I came across a post containing a photo of Senait Gidey for Flare Magazine.

The image is beautiful. Her make up is flawless, very Spring, and I LOVE her nails. But, what kept me from clicking away were the delicious, no pun intended, fruit rings she is wearing.

I absolutely heart any piece of jewelry that has a sense of uniqueness and a pop of color. So, you know what that means? I MUST have me a fruit inspired ring!

Solange in colored Sunglasses

Looks I Love: Brightly Colored Sunglasses

Spring has quickly become Summer in Atlanta. It is hotter than hot and the sun’s rays are beaming! At this point, sunglasses are no longer a cute accessory; they have become a necessity.

But, who says necessity has to be dull? Riding along the “bold for Spring trend,” sunglasses are popping up in a myriad of fun colors. This season classic hues, like black and brown, have taken a back seat to bright colors.

Look I Love! Me, My Hair & the City

Looks I Love!: Color Blocking & Striped Skirts

There is nothing I love more than a well put together outfit.

During Nordstrom Racks recent Tweet Up I was able to do some shopping, catch up with a few gal pals and admire their chicly assembled looks.

First up on my list of “I heart her your outfit” is Trina, creator of The Baby Shopaholic.

If no one else can, she has mastered the art of color blocking! I’ve seen the trend attempted many times but Trina truly pulls it off, and with style.

Thrift Store Denim Vest

Prints & Vests: Recent Thrift Store Finds

Last Friday, in celebration of my birthday and to calm my shopping itch, I made a special trip to America’s Thrift Store.

My plan was to search for a few Spring separates and, my new obsession, a boldly colored lace dress.

I hit rock bottom on the lace dress, I’m not discouraged – I will find it :) .

However, I did uncover some great pieces to incorporate into my current wardrobe.

Colored Lace Dresses

Hot Trend Alert!: “I Want A Colored Lace Dress”

According to Ideeli, a members only shopping community that dishes out tons of savings, brightly colored lace dresses are super-HOT for Spring.

With the help of trendy celebs, these classic dresses with a twist have made several appearances, “from LA to Milan.” Even fellow curly girl Solange has been spotted rocking a cheerfully hued lace frock.

As an avid proponent for anything dainty and a lover of color, I have to admit, I want a colored lace dress! The look screams Spring style, classic sophistication and fun.

What I Wore: Me, My Hair & the City

What I Wore: Repeat Wearing = Style

In times of trouble, or really when you’re running late and must pull together an outfit in T minus 2 seconds, it is feasible to repeat pieces.

Actually, scratch that, it’s ok at anytime! :)

The art of “re-wearing” is not rocket science; but I know some of us, and you know who you are, do not, and will not, repeat looks.

I completely understand. You don’t want to be caught wearing the same thing.

But, it’s not when you wore it that matters; it’s how you wore it.

In true, “I love to plan everything fashion”, I’ve been piecing together a few looks for Spring.

Whether it’s a handbag, belt, shoe, or in this outfit’s case a, pair of jeans, bold colors really help set a look apart.

Me, My Hair & the City: What I Wore

What I Wore: My “Epiphany” Look!

What does one wear to a “cocktail luncheon?”

I found myself pondering over this question after I received my invitation to attend Motions Cocktail Luncheon in New York.

From what I know, a lady is “supposed” to wear a cocktail dress to after 5 o’clock events or “cocktail functions” as I like to call them. But, adding the word “cocktail” to a lunch event, which usually calls for casual but cute attire, completely threw me off.
