With the holidays right around the corner tis the season to be jolly and, of course, have fly natural hair! What better way to flaunt your beautiful mane than with a hot updo.

Design Essentials® master stylist Deshonica Kerrie shares some great holiday styling options; the Multi-Roll Updo and the Old New Updo below. Check them out; they just might come in handy for your upcoming Christmas or New Years Eve bash!

Step 1: Blowdry hair until its 80% straight. By blow drying the hair first, it is easier to achieve smooth flat twists which helps to anchor the updo from the sides.

Step 2: Twist the sides of the hair and part the remaining hair into multiple sections and begins to roll and tuck the hair, securing each roll with pins. To ensure a smooth look while keeping the hair apply Design Essentials® Natural Daily Moisturizing Lotion and Design Essential Nutriment Rx Crème Hairdress to each rolled section.
Step 1: Combine a little bit of the old and new for a funky up-do. Create a flat twist design around the sides and back of the hair.

Step 2: After completing the flat twists roll and tuck sections of the hair by applying dime-sized amounts of Design Essentials® Natural Daily Moisturizing Lotion and Design Essential Nutriment Rx Crème Hairdress and then secured with hair pins.

Step 3: Finishes this old and new retro style by locking in shine with a light mist of Design Essentials® Diamonds Oil Sheen Spray , smoothed over each roll with the fingertips.
